The Jail Sentence

Paris Hilton’s jail sentence: fair or too much?

Paris Hilton is well known worldwide. The rich heiress is featured in all the celebrity magazines. Paris Hilton is now famous for going around carelessly, spending tremendous amount of money on useless items that are just designed for her own pleasure.

Paris Hilton has been featured on reality shows such as “The Simple Life” where she basically faked living like a regular person but seamed more to despise the people she was sharing the life with.

Paris Hilton has been rich from the start when her mother married a Hilton who had the good fortune to be born into a wealthy family from investing in hotels worldwide.

Is Paris Hilton just a spoiled rich girl? Is Paris Hilton a role model for our younger generation? Time will tell.

It seems so far that Parisis more into her looks and herself than anything else in the world. The fact that she has recently been sentenced to 45 days in jail for breaking a court order by driving her car with a suspended license has drawn attention to Paris Hilton again.

The sentence against Paris Hilton was for driving under the influence of alcohol and then still driving her car while her license was suspended. Was the justice too severe in the case against Paris Hilton? Did Paris Hilton get a more severe sentence because she is a celebrity?

By sentencing Paris Hilton to jail for a repeated offence, the American justice system made a clear statement that it does not play favors to rich people. The sentence against Paris Hilton is also to teach her that she had the liberty to use the services of her chauffeur and was not obliged in any way to drive her car. The sentence against Paris Hilton might also have saved someone’s life by preventing Paris using her car again while being under the influence or when not in optimal driving capacities.

I personally think that this jail sentence for Paris Hilton might be the big break she long needed. Hence, by being confined in jail for 45 days, she might start to reflect on her life and realize that she has a bigger role to play in society. As a very wealthy and popular person, she might decide to spread happiness and engage in more helpful activities rather than spending her entire days shopping. The California economy might take a hit at first, but it will recover!

Paris Hilton represents every young person’s dream of being beautiful and wealthy beyond reason. Many people hate her, many people love her and many people love to hate her. The fact of the matter is, everyone can’t help but look and read about her when she is in the spotlight. It would be very powerful if she turned her jail sentence into an opportunity to become the positive role model she was given almost from birth.

Such possibilities as participating in charity events or helping third-world countries would carry a great impact and would not be a lot of work for Paris Hilton to set-up, given the support staff that surrounds her.

Paris Hilton’s 45 days jail sentence might be the blessing in disguise she and the entire world long needed.
